WTN: Bolla Rosso Sicilia 2004

A blend of Shiraz and Nero d'Avola.

Good dark red color.

Very tangy and tart, moderate weight, strawberry and raspberry fruit with a drying finish. A very simple wine but it worked well with pizza.

Comes in a tacky blue glass bottle.

Just as a side note perhaps to prevent anyone looking for this wine and not finding it: the Bolla Rosso and Bianco Sicilia (yes, in those fetching blue bottles) are not available in the US. Only in Canada.
