WTN: Domaine Cauhape Jurançon Sec 2005

I've long been a fan of Cauhapés sweet wines (and Jurançon in general), so it came as no surprise that I love this one too. 100% Gros Manseng. Dry enough to remove the paint off your car. Exhilarating lime and grapefruit flavors, enough freshly cut Kentucky blue grass to satiate the most ardent NZ Sauvignon fan and enough acidity to rival bleach. Wonderfully refreshing and great value to boot. 13,5% alc. $23

Another of their best producers, Charles Hours of Clos Uroulat, is presenting his wines here tomorrow and, if his new Cuvée Marie sec is like his 2004, I will be stocking up.
