WTN: 2006 Saracco Moscato d'Asti

Light as water. The nose is fresh and very Muscatty with uncharacteristically strong grassy and clover-like notes and lots of minerals. The fizz is elegant. The palate is a bit sweet but is very refreshing and uncloying in its sweetness. This is pretty serious stuff yet is just as fun as Moscato d'Asti should be! Very impressive and I feel like I should drink bucketfuls of it.

Thanks for posting that, Otto. That wine has been available here for a while and it was recently recommended to me by one of the guys who sells it. Sounds like he was right.

Nice reminder, Otto. 2005 was 5% ABV and a frizzante (via google). Must try some of this.

Do try it! I really have a hard time imagining that M d'Asti could get better than this. There aren't many wines that I feel like drinking bucketfuls of.
