We enjoyed this with grilled rare hanger steaks. No sign of aging in the dark purple hue. Smokey, fruity nose. Tobacco, dark fruit, and chocolate on the palate. Chewy, with soft tannins (as in there, but not obtrusive), nice mouthfeel leading to a very satsifying finish. A winning right banker in this less than successful vintage for right bank wines.
