WTN: 2003 Sierra Vista Fleur De Montagne
A CdP clone from the Sierra Foothills. Full bodied, with nose of earth and cherries. Smoky on the palate and strawberries in there. I thought I could detect the Mourvedre muscling out quite well. Moderate tannins hint one to two more years of good drinking. Long finish.

Nice note there and a new winery to me up here in AB. I am a big fan of Amador Foothill winery who have recently released their `01 Syrah, Sierra Foothills.

Some of these wineries are turning out some impressive Syrahs and Rhone varietals. I am curious to see how they evolve over time. I feel they will show good aging potential.
