Lynn Nossiter got so much mileage out of dog sequences in <i>Mondovino</i>, I figured there was no reason why I shouldn't try it, too. So, when our little band of road warriors crawled out of our mini-bus at Ca' Montebello in Franciacorta this week and were immediately surrounded by friendly winery dogs, I saw my opportunity, grabbed the vidcam and started shooting.
The resulting brief montage isn't nearly as long as <i>Mondovino</i> - it only runs a little under 30 seconds. But on the other hand, it contains no politics, other than perhaps the dog's unspoken commentary in the final scene ...
