Last nite we had a Rimu Grove 2004 Pinot Gris with crab cakes that was very nice with great acidity and excellent spicey pear fruit. The only downside was the price of $20, but $18 for me with case discount. I'll probably buy more.

Tonight we had a 2005 Lovers Lane Cabernet made by Havens and with a Cal. North Coast designation. We both liked it a lot and given a little air it smoothed out nicely with cherry and cassis fruit in a medium-full format. For $15 I will definitely buy more.

One of these days I'll get you to Maryland and you can have some "real" crab cakes. (Leave the wine at home. It's a draft beer thing.)
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
