The hits just keep on comin'. This is a striking example of what Kékfrankos can do, if only given the chance. Full-framed and mouth-filling blackberry fruit, leather, ash, cocoa powder, and rusty mineral reminiscent of Pomerol. The tannins are bold, but blunt and I'm very impressed by the balance and sturdiness of it. Very good, built to last AND leaves the rusticity at the door. Go Hungary! 12% alc, $23
