2007 Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo - an IGT sangiovese blend with 5-10% merlot. It is still a big dark wine with a hint of bricking at the edges. The nose is dark fruit with a hint of anise, and some spice notes in the finish. All in all a good showing. I have seen some reports that indicated some oxidation/ageing, so bottles kept in a warmer cellar than I have (13 C.) my be further along in development.
