Just got back from tending the vines and Jean wanted ribs for dinner. 2 hr on the smoker and we were ready dinner. What to go with it? How about my last bottle of the 2024 Bedrock Ode to Lulu Old Vine Mourvedre Rosé. Clocking in at 13.5% ABV, it's not likely to be mistaken for a Bandol Rosé but it still makes a fine accompaniment to the ribs, with a pale watermelon-like fruit profile and no sense of heaviness or heat. The firm acidity keeps it food friendly, especially with the chill I put on it prior to service.

Such a tasty, high QPR wine, every year.

I've liked it in the past, though never thought it resembled Tempier.
But curious about the 13.5% comment in that context. That's pretty typical of Bandol rose abv these days (Bastide Blanche 2025 is 13.85, still pretty typical)
