WTN: 2013 Foillard

Jean Foillard 2013 Morgon Côte du Py. Somebody on CT says "this is why you age cru Beaujolais." Oh, wait, that was me, 17 months ago. Still true. 2nd bottle of four; this one has less push and pull between fruit and earth than the previous bottle, more unison than harmony, but with fabulous texture and length. With Deborah Madison's recipe for summer vegetables stewed in their own juices, a fine way to bid farewell to the summer before the first day of the new semester.
cheers, Patchen

+1. Great to read about, I bought a case of this but went through it pretty fast. It just seemed to fit every purpose.

It does sound great. I drank mine up in 2020, but I tend to value the juicy fruitiness of middle-aged Gamay more than some, it seems.
