- 2004 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (6/5/2026)
Brought by a friend to dinner, though we nearly polished it off before the meal it was so good. Has the virtues of 2004 - brisk acidity, moderate levels of richness- so that it’s both easy to drink and refreshing. Still showing good fruit, with just a slight touch of honey around the edges when it warms up a bit. This seems balanced for a very long life indeed.
