2015 Giuseppe Cortese Barbera d'Alba Morassina - like most barberas, this isn't a heavy wine (I'm still waiting for a winery named Hanna to make this varietal for a laugh) and it has a pleasant nose of spicy fruit with a slightly spicy background hint of black olives or tapenade and a clean crisp finish. This is a spaghetti weight wine not for accompanying a heavy red meat based dish. Quite decent.
