- 2021 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese feinherb Ur Alte Reben MCM - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (4/8/2026)
Been buying and drinking this wine since the first vintage in 2012. Only missed it one year. It has been for several years and remains my favorite bottling of German Riesling. The 2021 is another link in that outstanding chain. Bright acidity, crisp fruit, and as so often, there’s a phenolic note that if history is any indicator, will take several years and then soften and create additional mid-palate depth.
