No wines Wednesday (takeout Chinese before a board meeting, and then trip to city)

Thursday grilled salmon with a lime/ponzu marinade, soba noodles with maitake, grilled asparagus.
2023 Fichet “Meix Sous le Château” Meursault
Wasn’t thrilled at first, closed and reductive, but really opens up well. Pear, yellow plum, orange zest and hazelnut. Classic Meursault richness but with bright acids and good grip. Vibrant finish with some mineral drive. Young but delicious village wine. A-/B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was the only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
