Shared this new wine w/ Susan last night w/ our Pesto Pasta:
1. Cotes du Rhone Villages d'Estezargues (14.5%; 56% Grenache/25% Syrah/10% Mourv/7% Carignan/2% Cinsault; KermitLynch/Berkeley) Estezargues 2022: Very dark color; very strong strawberry/Grenache some blackberry/Syrah bit earthy/rustic light pencilly/oak bit complex nose; lightly tart/tangy rather rich/lush/structured fairly blackberry/Syrah slight Grenache/strawberry bit rough/rustic light pencilly/oak flavor w/ ample rugged tannins; very long rugged/tannic finish that mimics flavor; much more depth & intensity than most CdR; speaks more of Syrah than Grenache w/ the Grenache giving it a bit of fragrant character; will benefit from 2-5 yrs of aged; quite a good example of a CdR at a very attractive price. $20.00 (AV)

1. I wasn't expecting much from this cheapo CdR. But it had a depth & intensity you don't usuallu find in a CdR w/ more Syrah fruit than most. Quite a solid example of CdR.
