We tried this oldie at our tasting at Laura's Pig+Fig ystrday:
1. Drew PinotNoir Threesome SantaRitaHills (14.4%; 322 cs) DrewFamily/Buellton 2004: Med.dark color w/ some bricking; quite cedary/pencilly/oldRed fairly pencilly/oak some aged/tired PN light pencilly/Burgundian PN complex nose; very tart/tangy some dried-out/tired/metallic slight Burgundian/PN complex flavor w/ modest astringent tannins; very long complex finish that mimics flavor; a bit on the tired/dried out side but some interesting Burgundian/PN character still hanging around; seen better days & on the downhill side but still has some interesting character left. $nc (BSvSG)

1. This wine was one of Molly&Jason Drew's last wines when they were located down in Buellton. By then, they were already toning down their extraction level from the much bigger style they started out with. Shortly thereafter, they moved to their Estate up on Mendo Ridge and continued w/ there more restrained style. I like their Pinots & Syrahs quite a bit.
