Tried this new wine last night:
1. WildThing Viognier PlacerCnty (13.2%; www.CarolShelton.com) CarolShelton/SantaRosa 2023: Light gold color; strong/bright fresh pear/Viog light stony pleasant floral/carnations quite pleasant nose;rather soft/lush slight tangy/metallic modest floral/carnations fresh pear/Viog quite pretty/restrained flavor; med. pretty floral/pear/Viog finish that mocks flavor; not a very intense Viog but qcuite pretty & subdued; very fairly priced. $23.00 (SFW&S)

More bizzlefrick from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Carol Shelton founded her own winery in 2000 after quite a few yrs as winemaker for Rodney Strong. She makes a wide variety of wines but Zin is her speciality. Her wines are not profound but very fairly priced & I like them quite a lot.
