From my late father’s cellar, this was a boisterously boozy bottle. Still lots of plummy fruit, and a shot of oak, backed up with silky tannins. Very well crafted wine in its style, but that style is better suited to a frat party than dinner.

Frat party. I get it! A long number of years ago a new recruit to our Dork group showed up with a Pride Reserve Cab. Godawful. We immediately realized that he was not a good fit and eventually his name dropped off the mailing list. Which he resents deeply and blames me for (he's not wrong) but presumes it's because he's now and out and proud Trumper. That is a huge problem in and of itself, but it was the Pride that offended first.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
