WTN: Long Shadows

From two Washington A List wineries:

2015 Long Shadows Wineries Chester-Kidder Columbia Valley Red Blend
My neighbor's bottle, uncorked and served with his outstanding homemade pizza. This approx 50/50 cab/syrah blend (though may contain a tiny bit of PV) is drinking VERY well right now with nascent secondary development and an elegant mouthfeel.

2013 Reynvaan Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon The Classic Walla Walla Valley Tight at first, so had a short glass, which was enjoyable and obviously cabernet, even with the whiff of Rocks funk, and put aside for the next day. Next day: bold and lavish. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit with oil cured black olives and fennel. If served blind, syrah (in a Northern Rhonish way) would have been my first guess.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Not much done in the U.S. I can only think of two WA wineries who do it--but it's long been popular in Australia, right? Witness Penfolds Bin 386.
