2022 Division Winemaking Company "Lutte", Willamette Valley
"Lutte" is French for fight. And I think in this case it refers to a fight for dominance among the several vineyards in this blend. Uncorked and poured a glass on day one, where it was tasty but in the 'fun' zone. On day two and three, it pulled back a bit and didn't invite another pour. But by a week later when I rediscovered it in the refrigerator, it had become a complete and serious Beaujolais, with crunchy strawberry and blackberry fruit, good depth and some really sexy spices. I want more like this!

This was the winery I wanted to send to Mark Lipton to show off American Gamay. I sent a Brick House instead, which I was not impressed with. Division describes the '23, one year newer, as the best Lutte yet--Mark, there's one in your future.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I so love DWC. I wish I had space to buy more.
