Sous vide orange-dill salmon, rice with furikake, Hakurei turnips, spinach

2024 Donnhoff Tonschiefer Riesling Trocken
Grapefruit, Granny Smith, lime leaf. Crisp and clean, mineral/slate finish. Good value. B/B+

2024 Tiberio Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo
So dependably good. Pale, cranberry and raspberry, oregano. Tangy long finish. B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was the only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

I've never heard of Cerasuolo, and it isn't listed in the Wine Grapes book, but it seems to be a name for rosé made from Montepulciano, the main red grape of Abruzzo

I don't know now, as I see The Wine Society list Santa Tresa, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicilia 2022 which is a red wine made from 60% nero d'Avola and 40% frappato.

Google translate doesn't have an English word for Cerasuolo, splitting into two - Cera suolo - gets There was soil; their AI version gets wax floor

Grapes the Wine Co (Posner)

Yes, it's a rose, though the Tiberio usually looks like a light red

Thanks for that link; that linked to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerasuolo_di_Vittoria which explained Cerasuolo means "cherry red"
