1986 Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon Jack London Vineyard - doing some more cellar thinning of older wines that may be getting overly mature and pulled this out. Still very good colour and the nose had hints of sweet fruit and faint cedar (if you smoke individually packaged cigars that come wrapped in a shaving of cedar you will know what I mean - subtle but evident. Still decent fruit levels (blackberry?) and tannins evident but softening. Not a bad showing at all at the age of 40. Held at 13 C. which no doubt helped preserve it.
