1995 Selvapiana Chianti Rùfina Riserva Bucerchiale - I have liked this producer for years as they produce a good wine consistently and their wines have good ageability. This one (my oldest vintage) showed a lambent mid red colour, had a nose of cherries and a bit of ripe plum, and presented a balanced smooth wine that had good length. I have another half dozen vintages and it may be time to do a vertical on them to really get a handle on the house style.

One of my favorite Chianti. I’ve never had one from the prior century.

I've only gotten into these wines in the last few years, been buying and drinking the newer releases of Bucerchiale, but it's nice to see a note on an older bottling.
