Tried this fully mature VinoMacerati last night:
1. Ryme Vermentino "His" LasBrisasVnyd/Carneros/SonomaCnty (12.4%; www.RymeCellars.com) Geyserville 2015: Lots of flocculant sediment; deep orange/browning color; very strong honeyed/orangey/graham cracker/honey grahams some pungent smokey slight resinous slight Verm/floral classic mature/VM quite complex nose; fairly tart totally dry slight austere very rich/fairly lush very strong graham cracker/honeyed/bit orangey bit resinous/phenolic pungent very slight Verm/floral beautiful complex flavor; very long/lingering complex fully mature VM finish that mocks flavor; a lovely complex fully mature VM Verm that should go another 10 yrs; a great example of a mature VM.

More bittlerat from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The was a beautiful example of a fully mature VM. It was changing a lot in the glass as it warmed up, becoming less tannic & more lush on the palate. The next morning still more change w/ much more Verm fruit showing.
Ryan & Megan Glaab make two Verms from Frank Mahoney's LasBrisas vnyd in the Carneros, probably one of the coldest Vermentino vnyds in the World. I general prefer the "Hers" upon release because of its effusive Verm fruit and the "His" is pretty austere & tannic. But, w/ age, the "His" turns into a beautiful complex VM, one of the best orange wines made in Calif.
