2005 Zind Humbrecht Riesling Clos Hauserer - golden colour with a nose of sweet pears . off dry with a lingering smooth finish. Excellent balance despite the colour and still in fine shape, as befits an estate wine .Well done! Sadly, only one bottle left...

Estate wine? I’m used to that being a descriptor for an entry level wine made from owned vineyards.

Oh I get that. I’m just used to the way “estate” gets used by many German wineries.
