- 2015 EMH Cabernet Sauvignon Lady Sapphire - USA, California, Napa Valley (10/27/2025)
Opened for Black Cat day (of course!) this was singing from first pour. Ripe yet measured black fruit, tannins in balance, and just a subtle touch of vanilla and spice. As I was drinking it I kept thinking “this is a really good bottle of wine” which is exactly what it should be. Lovely now, with plenty of juice left in the tank for years.

Hmmm...winery not familiar to me! Reminds me of how little attention I pay to Napa anymore. Too hard to keep up like I once did.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Not an easy one to be aware of as they only made about 110 cases per year of Cabernet Sauvignon. Nothing else. One acre vineyard that surrounded the owner’s house. She subsequently sold it off after the 2020 vintage.
