TN: 2015 Soumah Chardonnay

2015 Soumah Chardonnay - this Yarra Valley Chard is rather atypical for Aussie chards. This is a bit of a purist version, fermented using wild yeasts, matured on the lees for 8 months and it comes across much more like a French chard than an Aussie one. Lovely clean citrus flavours, and long dry fiish. They specialize in some Eastern French varietals plus Italian varietals like Savarro, Pinot Grigio, Ai Fiori (Rosato), Brachetto, Marzemino, Nebbiolo and Barbera. Worth keeping an eye put for!

I do believe this is your first ever solo chardonnay note! Btw, I've never even heard of Savarro before. I'm going to have to look that one up.

AKA Savagnin, though that isn't that common a name either.

But I do know that one, at least.
