2023 Cloudline Pinot Noir, Willamette
Does anyone remember when Cloudline came out? Might have been about 15 years ago. The Speck gave it a huge score and the wine virtually sold out overnight. A friend bought the hype and a bottle, which he shared. What a joke I thought! It tasted like a cheap liquid version of cheap Red Vines red licorice. This later vintage, served at a friend's anniversary celebration yesterday, was better than that but still on the simple/fun side of Oregon pinot, not deep or serious. Hope this didn't cost more than $20/bottle.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I honestly do not remember. But it has me thinking about Cloud 9, the George Harrison album.

That timing sounds about right, Jenise. It was not too long after Oregon PN started to make waves in the wine press IIRC. I recall Cloudline showing up on shelves here in Flyover Country. I've always had it placed in the same category as Argyle for simple but unoffensive PN.
