A winery goes under

by Jenise » Wed Jul 09, 2025 11:29 am

Never even heard of this winery, Aldrice. It's here in Washington. No idea who owns it. Forensically, the pictures on the auction site tell quite a story: probably a fairly recent startup, and one that went all-in on production and Woodinville tasting room. They bought all the equipment one might need even if it sits idle 48 weeks of the year, and then best anyone can tell priced the wine based on recovery of investment rather than letting the marketplace determine its value--in a declining market. A sad tale.

My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Never heard of them, but website still active (with upcoming events!)

Seem to have had a bewildering array of wines.
And maybe not a real business plan.
