WTN: Kunstler Riesling dry Rheingau '22....(short/boring)

by TomHill » Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:20 pm

Tried this new arrival last night w/ susan:
1. Kunstler Riesling dry Rheingau Estate (12.5%; Q; Ap.Nr. 40 060 29 23; SkurnikWines/NY) Hocheim/Rheingau 2022: Med.gold color; lovely very aromatic R/floral/mango classic Rheingau R some petrol/Mosel valve oil bit flinty/chalky/steely bit complex very attractive nose; rather tart slightly off-dry fairly rich/lush classic R/floral/mango slight flinty/steely very pure R flavor; very long/lingering pure R finish that tracks flavor; a very pure expression of Rheingau R that should improve for 3-6 yrs; quite rich/lush for a Q. $30.00 (KK)

1. Kunstler is one f my favorite Rheingau producers. One of their basic level wines but it did not disappoint.
