WTN: Drew Chard Radiolaria MendoRidge '23....(short/boring)

by TomHill » Fri May 30, 2025 12:02 pm

My new Drew Wine Club shipment arrived last week, so I cracked:
1. Drew Chard Radiolaria MendoRidge (13.2%; EG; Clones: Dijon 548/76/Wente; 17 mo. in neutral oak Foudre + 20% new Fr.oak; 3 mo. in SS; Drk: 2025-2040: JD) 2023: Med.gold color w/ some tiny bubbles that persist; very strong melony/Chard/appley/almonds some pencilly/toasty slight stony/mineral bit complex quite lovely nose; fairly tart/tangy very strong melony/Chard/appley modest pencilly/toasty/oak slight stony/mineral rather savory somewhat rich/structured some complex lovely brisk flavor; very long/lingering savory/rich Chard finish that mimics flavor; a lovely savory Chard that should age quite well; reminds a lot of a Stony Hill Chard but less blatant oak. $60.00/$51.00

More Radiokoma from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The Drew Wine Club is one of my favorites & one I continue to maintain. The Pinots can be a little pricey, but their Syrahs & Viognier are absolutely first rate. Their Chard is one of my favorite Calif Chards.
