No wine Monday (miso black cod) or Tuesday (takeout Chinese at a board meeting )

Wednesday pork bulgogi, yakisoba with mushrooms and vegetables (topped with Kewpie or chili oil), Chinese spinach (gai lan) with oyster sauce.
2009 Terres Dorees (JP Brun) Cote de Brouilly
The 2009 ripeness is there, but so is the Brun acidic structure. Really in a nice place, velvety texture, ripe black cherry fruit with touches of mocha and pomegranate. Long smoky finish, powerful style but still recognizably Beaujolais. A-

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

Sounds great, 2009 is still giving. A bunch of them the other night at Riesling (and Beaujolais) study, although I don't there were any Bruns.

I’ve got a 2009 Brun Morgon…somewhere.
