2006 Domaine de la Mordorée Lirac Cuvée de la Reine des Bois - this "Queen of the woods" Lirac was excellent - still surprisingly dark, with a nose of pepper, black cherries and on palate sweet fruit, soft tannins and very good length. It has smoothed out quite well since purchase. The notes I saw that thought it was over the hill must have reflected warmer storage conditions than my wines experience.

Did you bring that home from our trip there? I have some too. I may have drunk them all, though, not sure. I liked it a lot as a youngster.

No, but I think I was inspired to get them because of our visit there. At one point I also bought some of their CNduP which was also available here.

Touché! "One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them". Speaking of bottles, of course...

Bill, just checked my inventory. I have one remaining bottle of this, and yes I brought it home from France. Cost: $25!
