1995 Château Larmande - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (3/14/2007)
Dark cassis and black cherry fruit with a touch of cedar on the nose. Medium bodied and nicely balanced on the palate. Tannins are still there, but not overbearing. Fans of big wines need not apply. This is on the elegant side, but no less enjoyable for that. Could probably stand another year or two, but I doubt it will get much better. Too long and the tannins will come forward as the fruit fades.
