1986 Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Private Bin R163, Auction Selection - found lurking in my cellar - a wine made each year for the big auction- the oldest auction in the New World of wine. I figured that it would be a faded ghost of what it had been but of course what else can you do but open it and try. It was very Burgundian in weight - old Burg - and was smooth and delicate. Clearly it had declined since the eary days, but it was still an interesting glass!

It is a cape wine - Nederburg is a Cape producer going back two centuries.
