More dicklespurt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Freisa is one of my favorite Piemontese grapes. I love the lovely aromatics of the grape, which reminds me a bit of DryCreekVlly lighter Zin. The dry versions tend to be on the rustic & bit tannic side. I rather like the slightly sweet & frizzante renditions of the grape. Don't have a lot of experience w/ aged Freisa. Freisa is, of course, one of the parents of Nebbiolo, a grape that is getting some growing recognition in the Piemonte.
