WTN: Selbachman Turner Overdrive

  • 2001 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (3/22/2025)
Sitting on a plateau of maturity, gazing down at the river valley below, the Mosel monk surveys the landscape of vines and slate. The fruit that once coursed through his veins has slowed to a trickle, replaced by iron, salt, and the discarded skins of the fruits that have since been touched by fire. The acids of his soul are not dimmed, leaving a sparkle in his eyes - wisdom from age, and still a look to the future.

Thanks. Turns out I had used a variation on the title five years ago…for the exact same wine!
