- 1997 Oliver Caldwell Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (3/22/2025)
From my late father’s cellar, this was interesting in a subdued, gentle way. It had all the elements of a classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, but the volume was turned down. It required close attention, as if it was speaking from another room, or even from the spirit world. This came from excellent storage and the cork was perfect, so I suspect this might be fading away.
