2022 COS Nero di Lupo Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola
Light and bright, but overall tilted more toward acidity and fruit, and what fruit there is isn't especially interesting. Okay with food, but meh as a sipper. Would not buy again.
2020 COS Metodo Classico Terre Siciliane Frappato
If you handed me this blind, I'd have confidently guessed you'd poured me a Basque dry cider you sneaky devil you. Deep tawny-orange color, with notes of red apple skin and baked pie crust, no sweetness, some tannins. Supposedly from frappato grapes, it grows on you, but as bubbly wines go it's more a curiosity than a celebration.
