1993 Rosemount Estate Syrah Balmoral - starting to lighten colour now and a nice nose of blended dill (no doubt the American oak), and mint/eucalyptus. In the mouth, rich but not jammy and well defined lengthy finish. All in all a good showing for the wine and a signal to start enjoying the last couple of bottles I have in the cellar.

I still have '95 and 2001s. The Aussie's I've opened recently have been exceptionally good. I may end up sorry I don't have more!

I have 93, 94, 95 and 96 - do I sense a possible theme tasting here?

I could go there. Wonder what other old Aussies I have? The '98 Ralph Fowler and '02 Lehmann Clancy's of recent weeks were both pretty terrific, but they just got yanked out of a cubby without me actually looking thru them. I only have maybe a case, though. I know you have a lot.

I still have 10 or 11 cases going back into the 80s but I want to get into them soon. Maybe make it a theme soon?
