Skipped wine Monday with chicken thighs and mushrooms over egg noodles

Shrimp scampi, bok choy, couscous
2023 Bastide de la Ciselette Rose (VDP Du Var)
Watermelon with red berry, floral, light but decent finish, good acids. B

Pork chops with cumin, broccoli, mashed potatoes
2022 Barboursville Cabernet Franc Reserve
I have enjoyed Barboursville in the past, but this came across as somewhat oaky and definitely glossy. Blackberry and cocoa, a little green pepper might indicate the variety, but this is mostly without a lot of character. B-/C+

No wine Thursday with salmon, spinach, and rice

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

Could have been worse. Could have been a 20 year old bottle of Barboursville Cabernet Franc!

Yup. Two bottles. Whatever flavor they had once had was gone.
