I haven't seen this wine in our market before but looked it up and see some decently good reviews of it, although it is not my style (high alcohol fruit bomb) but was surprised to see that Lisa Perrotti-Brown (who I had never heard of) had given the wine 100 points. So now of course a local agent is bringing some in at a price of $292 Can. a bottle!
I can see the people that want to be able to say 'this is a 100 point wine I am serving you' might bite, but as far as thinking that a high score (by someone I had never heard of) makes it actually worth that - no.
I guess this is just another example of ratings inflation?
