There is a winery, Staffelter Hof, that has been producing wine since the 9th century. It was operated as an in-house facility by a religious order to produce wine that they consumed until 1805, when it was bought and thereafter run as a commercial winery. I wondered if anyone had ever had a riesling from it or knew more about it.

It was originally the Princely Abbey of Stavelot-Malmedy, a Benedictine abbey whose abbot was a prince of the realm of Charlemagne.
