Be forewarned, this wine is painfully young. When I first opened it there was an intense grapiness. I took a small pour, and then corked it up for the night. That was 24 hours ago, and tonight we have liftoff. It’s still a young, intense wine, but now it’s wine and not hypercharged grape juice. There’s structure, delicate lines of complexity poking their way through the rich fabric, and a purple flower top note that’s the distilled essence of the heart-shaped herb. Take a sip and visit the ancestors on a separate plane of existence. Seriously though - give this one some time. It’s still expanding from its big bang.
