Pegau update

by Jim Grow » Tue Dec 24, 2024 10:35 pm

I finally opened my last 2001 Pegau Res. and it was very good but seemed a bit tired. I am 6 for 8 and was credited for the off bottles. I have been drinking some 2007, 2016, 2019 and 2020 and the last is far and away the best closely followed by the 2007.
Merry Christmas to youall !!

Thanks for the update.

I think longevity relates closely to cellar conditions (and what the wine endured along the way in the sales chain).

My 2001 is just coming on line and all in the decade are in great shape. Even if you have ideal cellar conditions there is often some variability. If you open another bottle, be sure to post a note.
