Tasted this trio over the weekend w/ Susan:
1. Saint-Lannes IGP: Cotes de Gascone (12%; 80% Colombard/20% Gros-Manseng; Vintage Imprts/Denver) Saint-Lannes/Gascogne 2023: Pale yellow color; pleasant bit floral/Colombard/fruity slight chalky/stony pretty classic Gascogne nose; bit frizzante somewhat off-dry lightly floral/FrenchColombard/fruity/grapey light stony/chalky rather simple flavor; med.shor finish that tracks the flavor; a pleasant/simple Gascogne white that's a bit on the boring side; reasonable price but will not revisit it. $11.00 (SFW&S)

3. CarolShelton Pizazz Zin OV PiazzaVnyd/Lodi (14.4%; www.CarolShelton.com) SantaRosa 2021: Dark color; strong blackberry/boysenberry/ripe Zin/bit spicy rather Lodi/mushroomy/chalky/loamy some vanilla/Am.oak straightforward Zin nose; rather soft strong boysenberry/ripe Zin quite Lodi/earthy/loamy/mushroomy strong vanilla/Am.oak rather ordinary Ldi Zin flavor w/ little tannins; soft very LodiZin finish that tracks flavor; lots of ripe Lodi Zin fruit but a rather ordinary/quotidian Lodi Zin of little interest; terroir makes a difference & OV doesn't save it; tastes like an old Sebastiani or Foppiano Zin w/ a kind of old-timey character. $24.00 (KK)

More glickerstott from TheBloodyPulpit.
1. The Terre Alfieri DOCG is just to the East of Asti & one not commonly seen. They make both Arneis & Nebbiolo in the DOCG.
I was expecting a lot more from the CarolShelton Zin. Pleasant enough in a sorta old-timey way.
