WTN: 2004 Pontet Canet

by Jenise » Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:41 pm

Took to a friend's house for a prime rib dinner last night:

2004 Château Pontet-Canet Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend
Classic Bordeaux in a great place right now. Good secondary development, no tertiary as yet. Decanted one hour before dinner--seemed ideal. Almost no sediment.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Yes - that wine has been drinking well (from 375 in my case) for a while and seems to be at its apogee.

Yes, really delightful. Fourth one I've opened and best yet. Perfect for roast beef.
