Opened this on Wednesday night to accompany chicken braised in mushrooms over basil mashed potatoes:

2019 Château Valandraud Bordeaux Virginie de Valandraud Blanc Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc
Notes of pineapple guava, melon, hay and bay leaf. At five years old, nicely evolved and still showing plenty of tension. Interesting to see a SB from St. Emilion, though most likely the grapes are from outside the AVA.

Pretty sure the vines are in St Emilion, but you can't use the appellation on white wines.
I think true of all the non-Graves appellations, Pavillon Blanc, Lynch's white, etc are all Bdx AC,

Did not (obviously) know that, Dale, thank you!
