Susan & I tried last night:
1. Xavier Weisskopf LeRocher des Violettes Touche-Mitane Ad'OC: Montlouis sur Loire (14%; 100% CheninBlanc from 35 yr old vines; 7 mo. in barrel & tank; www.LeRocherDesViolettes.com; Jon-David Headric Slctns; EuropeanCllrs/Charlotte/NC) 2020: Light gold color; strong very attractive pear/CB/floral/dandelions some chalky/stony/mineral lovely perfumed nose; some tart/tangy rich/bright Loire CB/pear fairly minerally/chalky/stony some complex flavor; very long rich/stony/mineral finish that tracks flavor; a rather rich/lush/mineral expression of CB; quite a lovely/rich Loire CB. $32.00 (KK)

More dersserblat from The BloodyPulpit:
1. This was not a producer I had any experience. I was a bit suspicious at the alcohol level on the label. It was not the usual skinny/savory Loire CB but much bigger & richer than I expected. Quite an outstanding if unusual Loire CB.

Unfortunately, big and rich is not unusual anywhere these days...
